Procrastination
As i lay, curled in the fetal position, remote pasted to my hand, desperately looking for something to watch on the tube. I should be studying something...doing laundry....anything else...yet, i'm not

Gose, Ben. "A Week Trying to Find the Right Online Program." Chronicle of Higher Education 53.15 (2006): A23-A23. Academic Search Premier. 30 April 2007. http://search.ebscohost.com.
Summary:
This article is about an actual student that worked for a week trying to find the right online school for a degree in criminal justice and MBA.
Importance:
This article presents the case of an abundance of online programs, the effect of how advertising plays out when searching for a school, and how long the process takes to find the right program.
Connections:
Oh well, it is the same way i researched my other paper. Academic search premeir...love it always find something!
Supporting Source:
I plan to argue the time it takes to find a good college, how effective advertising is, and this gives good insight from someone who actually tried it.
Argumentative Source:
i don't know how i can debunk this work...its all his experience...i really didn't read the whole article, either, just bits and pieces, (atleast i'm being honest at this point) i plan to print it, read it, and figure everything else out. side bar: my printer is still out of commission.....damn

Honawar, Vaishali. "Accreditation Makes Virtual Teachers College 'Real Thing'." Education Week 26.14 (2006): 8-8. Academic Search Premier. 18 April 2007. http://search.ebscohost.com.
Summary:
This article is about Western Governors University, an online college created by 19 governors from western states, that recently introduced a teachers program to its couse history. Once known for technology and business degrees, WGU got the accreditation needed for the certified teachers program through NCATE, The National Council for Accreditati0n of Teacher Education. This gives the college, and degrees earned, valiadity upon graduation. The college also gives students mentors throughout their enrollment and when employed. The number of students to attend this university has grown from 400 to 4,500, mostly by word of mouth of satisfied graduates. WGU boasts of being very hands on with their students and offer courses taught by reputiable 4 year universities. The idea behind internet colleges is in its infancy and has room to improve. the NCATE is looking for more outlets for teachers education to thrive. It seems the median age to attend online universities is 36, and more males enroll then female. Minorities and people in more rural areas also benefit from taking online courses.
Importance:
This article is important in giving an example of an accrediated online college that has grown since instituting the teachers program. I am understanding why online colleges are beneficial to everyone. They offer people who wouldn't have a chance to attend school the opportunity to do so.
Connections:
I am so tired of the internet. This is the same way I went about researching my previous paper about online something or other. I would much rather write an evaluation essay on George Bush or a paper on Che Guevara. Something interesting.
Supporting Source:
This article shows that there are reputable online universities. It also gives great information about the teaching style and students who attend.
Argumentative Source:
Their is a shortage of teachers and online colleges give more people an opportunity to become one. This is a new concept and the standards must be set high, as not to let undesireable people an ability to teach our children.

People
I am sitting in front of southern hall, enjoying a smoke before class. My "like sorority chick"(sorry sorority sisters, in our society, we all know what point i am trying to get across) friend is constantly complaining about tests and papers, random shit about her boyfriends. I didn't realize how unhappy; uncomfortable, people are in their skin. It is so sad, really.
A boy is walking toward me, asking if he can bum a smoke. She saw him first, and didn't like the way he looked. A little over weight, frayed non-matching clothes, dirty shoes, acne. I was preoccupied, reading the Burger, and she is trying to get my attention...don't give him one...under her breath. I didn't realize what she was trying to do. He was asking me again, while approaching the step I was perched on and, of course, i hand him my pack to pull out a cigarette and light my fire for him. He thanks me and we start chatting. First about the weather..then, as always when talking to someone you meet on campus, what you major is. He is a freshman art major and compliments my tattoo. He drew a tattoo in highschool once. I ask if I can see it. At this point, she gets so angry that this conversation is taking place. How can someone like him be in her presence. He is looking in her direction trying to draw her into our conversation. He dosen't want to be rude by not making eye contact with her, and you can actually see the fumes boiling off the top of her head. I've never seen a head explode, but I'm sure her's is about to. She had enough after a minute or two and we can both feel how uncomfortable she is. She storms off and stands away from us while we finish our conversation. It turns out he has a bunch of music jammed on an mp3 cd and he plays it on his CD player, he bought it at roses. He likes school alot, but is unsure he is doing the right things, something we all struggle with. He is extremely talented, and i look forward to seeing more of his stuff. I tell him that he has nothing to worry about.
After he gathers his stuff we introduce ourselves and part ways....what a nice kid, i think...good luck to him.
I grab my bag and walk over to her. She has a look that could melt ice. Don't Ever Do That To Me Again, she says.
I say don't do what...talk to someone...he is nice.
I feel a fight brewing, would love to pull out her hair and scratch her face, meow, so I change the subject.
I wonder....what the fuck is wrong with people
We all want to be treated with respect!
How would she feel if i didn't want to hang out with her fat ass....talked behind her back, because she is wearing an unflattering piece of clothing or her makeup looks clownish. I'm sorry i didn't realize that line along your cheek from unblended foundation was fashionable. Who knew.
We all need to take a step back and remember the golden rule
Treat Others As You Want To Be Treated
Learn It
Live It
we could all benefit

whatev
I always feel the need to blog when i should be writing my paper. I am listening to Patty Griffin, Love, Love,Love her! I saw her concert about 4 or 5 years ago, before she was as big as she is. Man, can she sing her heart out. Not to forgo the fact she can Rock the guitar! I am going home to Jersey for the summer and checked her concert schedule. Rock On, she will be in Philly when i am home! Bonus...and at a bigger venue. Although the intimate setting of a smaller venue made her concert all the more magical, I am still excited! I miss the concert scene the most, since moving here. I've been to so many...nothing beats good friends, cold beer, and the lawn seats at the Tweeter Center. Sometimes you'd get lucky and someone would let you toke from their doobie. Good Times......Good Times
